An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.

These detentions come after a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later released.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of several people injured by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - an event that police said was isolated and not considered terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
